Use of BS-970 bar stock in PD 5500 vessels

Can someone assist me in seeing how BS 970 EN3B bar stock material can be used in PD 5500 vessels? From what I can see, BS-970 for bar stock was superseded by EN 10277, which is not listed as permitted bar stock in table 2.1-2 of PD 5500. Not sure if you need to go PMA route?

Disclaimer: I am much more familiar with ASME; my exposure to PD5500 is fairly new. In my opinion ASME VIII is much clearer in many respects, permitted materials being one of them!
