Please help. I can't find the place to setup two reservoirs connected to each other. They have different stages after the storm event and finally will reach the same water surface level due to the connections.

I tried to use one as the other's downstream storage, but there is no back flow from the downstage reservoir to upstream even the water surface elevation in downstream is higher.

Any thoughts?

Thank you so much!

As far as I know HMS as well as HEC1 will not perform the task you are trying to analyze. You may need to find a more suitable software package like Inter Connected Pond Routing (ICPR). It is the reversed flow that cannot be analyzed in HMS/HEC1.
