Upgrading to Intralink 3.4

Hey everybody,


Just thought I would share our exeperience upgrading from Intralink 3.3 to Intralink 3.4


If you are doing it yourself, DO NOT FOLLOW the technique defined in the installation manual or some of the suggested techniques. Specifically, do not run that MIGRATION batch file. We had nothing but problems when we did that. And it took a couple of days to figure it out.


Essentially, just create the export .DMP file like you normally would and then after you have installed and upgraded Oracle and the 3.4 fileserver and dataserver. Import the .DMP as per the normal method of upgrade/recovery.

This metode are the most stabel. I always do it like this when upgrading intralink.


Once I try the migration. I will never do it again


If you ask the PTC support enginneers they say that this metode is the best.
