In FEMAP when I update the mesh on a surface with RBE’s the rigid elements disconnect and I have to manually update the connection of each element. When a model has 100’s of rigid elements this becomes extremely time consuming. Is there any way for the rigid elements to auto update its connection To all nodes on a curve?

1) why remesh the surface ?

2) include the RBE nodes in the surface mesh (mesh/mesh_control/mesh_points_on_surface)

another day in paradise, or is paradise one day closer ?

rb1957 I have to update the surface mesh to get the mesh to converge, which means I have to update my rigid elements at every step. I will try that mesh control command. Thank you

Hello!,
Actually with modern versions of FEMAP like v2020.2 when you remesh surfaces in the MESHING TOOLBOX using a new element size then all RBE2 & RBE3 elements are updated as well, not longer disconnected.
Best regards,
Blas.
