Hello

I am looking for the welding electrodes for welding UNS 32205 SA240 Plate. Also i would like to know the forgings which are compatible for using with this plates.

Has someone carried out Pitting Corrosion and crevice corrosion tests in the weld procedure involving 32205 Plates?

What is the typical expected Ferrite % and Hardness for this Weld metal?

Any experience in carrying out SSCC test and Chloride stress corrosion cracking with UNS 32205?

E/ER2209 is most commonly used to weld 2205 duplex s.s. Ferrite content is normally 40-60%. We have successfully performed welding procedure qualifications with pitting corrosion testing and impact testing.
