Hi,

Has anyone heard of a steel call Finkle EX? Maybe simular/ same as Hecla 167G??

Does anyone know the hardening temperature and tempering temperature required after an oil quench to achieve 350/380HB?

Thanks

The company you are looking for is A. Finkl & Sons. I have not heard of EX, but they have a CX and an FX. You can learn more about their products at:

My first guess at reading the subject line was that it was a typo and what was really meant was Finkl FX. If so, it should be easy to verify through a chemcial analysis and, like CoryPad mentioned, contacting them directly should get the desired information.
