Based on your opinion and experience, can duplex stainless steels (Saf 2205) be used even slightly below 50°C as usually recommended? For example, 55 or 60°C below zero?

And for high temperature limitations is there a risk of embrittlement just already at 310°C? Or are these limits conservative?

I have seen pieces of good quality plate that would have good impact toughness at -55C, and that would take >5 years to develop intermetallics at 310C.
But the same is not true of fabricated items.
Once you make a weld that you cannot solution anneal and quench all bets are off.
And living with the -40C to 310C range even requires testing to verify suitability.
You should always require A923 testing for base materials and weld qualifications.
