UNJF Ring/Plug Gauge usage 1

Is somebody can help me to confirm the following:

A UNJF Ring Gauge can be used to inspect the component's UNF External Thread.

A UNJF Plug Gauge can not be used to inspect the component's UNF Internal Thread.
