Units in Creo simulate random and shock analyses??

Dear all,

I am getting confused by CREO Simulate units.

(1) the random is asking in its main menu to provide a "value" and a unit (e.g. G2/Hz). and then is providing the possibility to provide a random profile.
So I understand that the value in the main menu is a scaling coefficient, the value is providing the units for the function I provided..
Does this make any sense?

Similarly for the shock. I input a shock profile, but there is no trace of the units. I understand these are instead the units of my model, so e.g. mm/s² if my system is mmNs.. right?

thanks in advance and sorry for the detail..

1) You are correct. The value and units you enter in the analysis definition are the magnitude, and the function/table you create defines how the magnitude changes.

2) Yes, if your base units are set in mmNs, then your units are mm/s^2.
