Hi all,

I have two related questions:

1) I have just started using the excel component in Mathcad and I'm having a bit of a trouble getting the output variables to have units. I'm using Mathcad 11. I have a variable named secA which should be in mm. I can make it in units of mm by redefining it as a multiple of itself and 1mm. But I was thinking there should be a better way of doing this.

2) As a further complication, I am getting a "Units in this expression do not match" error for a programming block that uses these values. The problem there I think is related to the fact that I'm assigning (local assignment) the result of my calculation (which has a unit of kN) to an array element that had not been previously defined. I'm lost as to how to correct this problem.

I have posted an image of the programming block I'm using:

Any help would be much appreciated,

Thanks

1. That's the only way. Excel components don't come with units

2. You should post your entire file on the Mathcad collaboratory. It's absurdly difficult to debug an image of a Mathcad file.

Thanks for the reply. I posted the complete file at the collaboratory. Hopefully someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Thanks.
