Has anyone ever heard of a gir/min? and if so how can it be converted to gal/min

Thanks

The only GIR im aware of is GROSS IRRIGATON RATES and that would be in inches per day.

I googled gir/min, and found a reference on Alfa Romeo. In this case, I think it is in units of like RPM.

Is the unit in english or is it in another language?

Sorry, not much help.

Thanks for the responses. I believe it is Italian for RPM

We are in an embarrassing situation of having purchased and installed a grossly undersized Italian manufactured pump in our social club swimming pool. The mechanical section, who are responsible for design of a large number of major pumping stations up to 40 MW capacity, failed to notice that gir/min related to the speed not the capacity. They will eventually live this down.
