Unigraphics to Solidworks question

In Unigraphics, I liked to use the boolean function "Unite" to create more complex shapes with tapers or curves on certain planes. The only way I am figuring out to get the same functionality in Solidworks is to carve away at an extruded profile. Is there anything similar to Unite in Solidworks that I am missing?

Thanks, and let me know if I need to explain any more.

Mike

I am sorry CorBlimeyLimey, I meant to say "Intersect". It is the Intersect function I am referring to.

Nevermind, your post explained all of that. You're very helpful. Sorry for the confusion, appreciate the help!
