I am reviewing a colleague's connection for a brace to beam to column connection. The brace is only connected to the beam and not the column.

Does anyone have a design example for this connection using the uniform force method? I found the one in the AISC CD manual but it is not very helpful.

Not sure you'll need it for that case. Does the work point line up with all centerlines?

I don't have a example, but there is a diagram of the forces on page 13-9 of the AISC Steel Manual maybe that will help

I break the brace force into horizontal and vertical components and add to the beam shear and axial load. The beam connection to the column is then designed for the sum.
