Has anyone had any experience with any Italian prints? I'm fixing errors and getting a package of horrible drawings ready for our machine shop, and I've come across a group of drawings with edge prep to UNI 11001.
I have an old copy of the standard that doesn't cover what I'm seeing. I don't want to purchase a new translation. I just want to see what the original drawings show as a curiosity (I'm checking/redesigning the welds anyway) and for future reference.
I'm guessing the "C" is from "Saldatura conica singola" or single-bevel butt weld. It is to the flanges of two I-beams; the weld is into the screen.
I have no idea why there is one uppercase J and one lowercase j. It is a double-J butt weld that should be symmetrical.
I think the "F" is for a feather edge. It is a single-bevel butt weld from a flange of an I-beam to a plate.
