Hello all,

I hope you can help shed some light on my situation...

I have purchased a house in Europe which was built in 1960/1970. The house is badly neglected and in need of a total renovation but at the same time I believe worth saving.

The house sits on a south east slope.

I would like to consider underpinning the property but curious about how deep I should go, the width etc. I have watch videos on youtube and they talk of removing sections, not next to each other, working to a system. This all makes sense in my head and I plan on doing the underpinning myself. Can anybody reccommend the depth and width I should do each section to or should I approach a professional? The problem is I am struggling to find that very person who is involved in that area. In the Uk it would be structural engineers I believe? Here (Poland) a couple of people have mentioned builders.

Thank you

Jason
