I am looking for some feedback concerning inspection of the underground rod anchors of Flare Stacks or towers of communications. Meaning by that, the portion of the anchor system (concrete block and section of the rod between the concrete block and the ground surface).
Is there any experience you can share in terms of findings, NDEs and mitigation actions once the inspection is complete. Is there any inspection/NDE technique available in which there is not need for ground removal. This is, inspection performed without perturbing the ground?

Thanks !!

Dear leont,

Electrically Isolated Tendon (EIT) System could be the desired NDE.

It is quite a new method and needs to be studied more for proper evaluation.

The following link would be helpful.
