I have an application where there is a rectangular shape that has a lip on the top. There are four clips on either side with cutouts on same side however one is located further that the second. I was considering utilizing a slide to core out under the lip, and behind the clip. Is there a device that will actuate on the core to core out a rectangular cutout perpinduclar to the core? I have heard of new spring loaded devices that will core out holes, however I do not have any information on a supplier.

Hi,

If there is room, use an angled pin (up and away), if not, have a look at DME website - flexible pins. I believe they have a finite life due to fatigue but may do the job. (btw, I have no association with DME!! - other die set manufacturers may make similar)

URL for flexible pins:

(It's a large .pdf file!)

DME have a US site as well I note.

Rgds
