Unable to open part file in NX 8.5

Hello All,

Whenever I just double-click a part file,the UG default window is opening(GATEWAY) instead of opening that part file.
However i can open the same part file by first launching NX 8.5 and then say open.
But for some reasons i want that part file to get open by just double-click.

Please can anyone help me in this issue.

There are simpler ways to fix this, which i am not that certain of at the moment... But, the schoolbook way of doing it is to run "repair" on the NX install. The "repair" will cure the Windows registry settings related to files of type ".prt".
( Note, the problem is not NX but Windows that has lost the correct relationship to ".prt".)
( Windows -start-control panel -add remove programs- NX8.5 - Repair.)
