Hi all,
I've got a strange problem where I can't include a part ref plane edge onto an assembly sketch.
I am able to include the edges of 2 of the planes - one parallel to sketch plane, the other at 90deg, but not the the third plane, and that's the one I want.
Solid Edge V20, SP14

Any ideas?

If i understand youre question, you can't include the 3rd plane cause youre workin on that plane. Understand???

Hi Cadman,
No, this is really a strange one.
Normally you don't see the edges of the plane that is parallel to the sketch plane (the one I'm working on), but you see the 'cross' formed by the 2 other orthogonal planes.
I can locate and include the edges of the parallel plane (thus creating a square) and ONE of the orthogonal ones (thus getting a line) but not the other othogonal plane - and sod's operates here because it's always the one I want that I can't locate.

...and just to clarify, the sketch is in an assembly and I am trying to include from part planes.

are the parts activated?

Yes, all parts are activated.
Part edge locate is ON
Peer part edge locate is ON
Silhouette edge locate is ON

Just to repeat - I CAN include some planes but not others within the SAME part.

sounds like a problem for GTAC then.
