Hi There,

Hopefully some of you can shed some light on this material : PAN Bz14.

It would appear a Bronze/Tin alloy, but I cannot find any additional information about the nominal chem composition. It's quite hard to source (not impossible, just hard) and having the exact chem compositionwould help greatly.

Any idea ?

Thanks,

P.

Hello,

this is a cast alloy of a german company:
with just Cu and 14% Sn.
However, they have a proprietary method of manufacturing / treatment which make parts from these alloys quite better than products with comparable alloys from other mfgrs. I.m.exp. these materials are worth the extra mile / $, if you need to stick to Cu alloy.

RolMec,

Exactly what I recommended to the Client, thanks for your input.

I was looking at the specs, and I noticed that the mech properties (tensile and hardness) are quite unusual for a "soft" bronze.

Recommended to go with the OEM.

Regards,

P.
