unable to convert IGS to sheetmetal

the radii are causing the problems here. You can either use the 'remove' tool to get rid of the radii, convert to sheet metal then add radii after, or possibly copygeom the outside surface into a new sheetmetal part and then offset. Attached is an IGES of the part created like this in creo 3 that will convert to sheetmetal in WF2

In my 2 day datadoctor workshop we work on a few ugly sheetmetal IGES and or STEP geometries to get the radius and material thicknesses to the same nominal wall in order to convert to solid sheetmetal then flatten. Lots of fun when people use solids to create sheetmetal parts in UG or SW and the sheetmetal vendor is using Creo or Pro/E
