ultimate wind speed selection from speed zones map

I want to determine my wind speed from the wind speeds map below, my region of study is the red dot at the top left of the map and I can't say if my speed is 46 or 48

Can't be 46, has to be higher maybe 47. Do you have a code committee you can flick an email too?
 
Look at Note 2 on your map. "Linear interpolation between contours is permitted." I admit that the position makes that a little tough as the shape of the contours diverge and 46 curls back on itself. Conservative option would be to just go with 48. Wrong option would be to go with 46. You could go with 47 and your error would likely be small, and it looks like it would be a hair on the conservative side of the things.
 
47 and call it good.

Let’s not pretend like this is an exact science.
 
What's the saying? Measure with a micrometer, mark with a crayon, cut with an axe...
 
Since note 2 states that linear interpolation is permitted, I say 47 m/s.
