UG NX3 part gives not a part file in UG NX6

I recieved a disk that has UG parts on it and was instructed to make PDF of the drawings. Almost all of the files give an error that they are not part files but according to notepad they are NX parts. The ones I can open and get a part history on have this. NX 3.0.2.3- Madam5.0.0 and this. NX 3.0.2.3<!<OT_PUB>!>
Any one have any ideas on why I can't get this files to open?

Be sure that the whole part name (including path) doesn't contain any special character like !@éè...
