I am trying to create a UFF 58 format file for FRF's. Does the data that goes in the UFF 58 have to be in Mag/Phase format or Real/Imag. format?

Thanks for the replies.. I had one more question, the data is in six column format.. How is the data supposed to be written, top to bottom or left to right?

left to right. it's designed for teletypes, top to bottom would blow them up!

Please see FAQ731-376 for tips on how to make the best use of Eng-Tips.

I was able to create the header for the UFF 58 file, however I am confused about the spacing between parameters starting at Line 6, for example if I have
4 0 0 0 NONE 1 3 NONE 1 3

for Line 6, Is the spacing between each of these "tab" spacing? or Is it something else?

I tried reading the spec from SDRL website but couldn't get anything. I appreciate any input.. Thanks

I figured that the Format is specified in FORTRAN. I could create the UFF58 files for my data. Dr. Platten and Greg Locock: Thank you for your inputs..
