Any of you ASME Sec VIII guru's out there notice the change in the '04 version for PWHT temps? The revision summary shows a change for P4 materials going to 1200 F but doesn't show any change for P1 materials, however, P1 has been changed to 1200 F also. I assume this is a typo because there is no revision marker in the margin for P1.??

Yes, you are correct. Also, if you look at PWHT for P-No3 material, this remains at 1100 deg F in Table UCS-56. It would make no sense to have P-No3 material remain at 1100 deg F, while P-No1 material (which has slightly lower hardenability characteristics) be increased to 1200 deg F for PWHT.

Also, while on the same subject, there appears to be a notes numbering error for P-No 4 material in Table PW-39 of ASME Section I, 2004 Edition. Note (1)(a)(1) was deleted in the 2001 Edition/2003 Addendum of PW-39 in Section I. In the 2004 Edition, note (1)(a)(1) was removed, however, the corresponding sub-paragraphs under (1)(a) were re-numbered. The exemption in (1)(c) refers to notes (1)(a)(2) and (1)(a)(3), which are not the same sub-paragraphs as in the 2001/2003 Code.
 
I've "heard" in various newsgroups that the P1 change to 1200 in the UCS 56 table is an editorial error. But, I have not seen that error acknowledged by ASME yet.
