I having problems over here in the UK obtaining type 'E' thermocouple compensating cable in a reasonably sensible length - a couple of hundred metres, not a mile or more - and at a halfway reasonable price. Specifically I'm looking for multicore comp cable, 12-pair and 20-pair. The machine the t/c's are on is a Westinghouse turbine built in the US, and I assume type 'E' is more common there than in Europe where types 'K' and 'T' dominate in the low / medium temperature ranges. Either that or the designers were having a laugh and fitted us up with oddball thermocouples that no one uses. ![[lookaround] [lookaround] [lookaround]](/data/assets/smilies/lookaround.gif)
Any of you US members know anyone who might have a few hundred yards on stock? I am, or rather my contractor is, in the crap on this job and consequently I'm in the stinky stuff with him so shipping it as surface cargo is definitely an option and airfreight isn't out of the question. I am not looking for singles, it must be multicore, and I'd appreciate definite sources rather than prospective suppliers.
Thanks for reading even if you can't help!

If we learn from our mistakes I'm getting a great education!
