Attics yes, ceilings no.
From my understanding of the Tyco Attic Sprinklers they are listed for attic spaces (combustible concealed) only.
For these spaces they are a great technology that reduces the amount of piping required by a large percentage. A single line at the peak can reduce several rows of lines and all the obstructions and headaches that follow.

I believe these are only listed for slopes of 4:12 up to 12:12. All of the diagrams indicate a peaked roof and not an arched roof.
As stated above, my understanding is that they are only listed for concealed combustible spaces and not in non-concealed installations.

sorry started off with one question and added
1. if the roof line is "arched" can the tyco attic head be used, or is this outside the listing??
2. if the roof line is flat can the tyco attic head be use, or is this outside the listing??
check page "7" say for the "BB3" it appears for it and any of the heads there is a minimum and maximum slop that is "REQUIRED"

For the BB heads, you must have a minimum of 4:12 pitch. I believe that they may have expanded one of the heads to 3:12. The AP heads can have a minimum pitch of 3:12.
Remember, if you have a flat roof and <36" of clearance, you need the Tyco CC1/CC2 sprinklers.
