Scott, - Thanks for the link on the dual install.
The interface is just one reason I was considering v20. The other was lack of training materials (tutorials, books, etc) available for v100. What little there is, seems to be mostly oriented towards ST. I prefer to traditional environment. I'm sure more will eventually come, but as a new user I really need something now. So if I go v20, I'll be able to use all the v20 materials, which there are plenty of.
bc, - Thanks for the picture of the v20 interface. It reminds me of Cobalt's (what I've been using) with the tool bar on the side (which I like). It makes me wonder why Siemens switched to the new interface, since the old one looks more functional. Any idea? With Cobalt, the menus are all "fly out" to reveal other tools of the same type. They can also be "torn off" to make them floating, if desired (similar to what you show with PMI and Modify). This makes for a very efficient (and customizable) modeling environment.
BTW, how did you get those floating menus? Is that something available in the new interface as well?
Thanks,
Pat
