Hi,
We will be providing a portacabin which has its own addressable system already installed going back to a Honeywell panel. The site were the cabin is going also has its own addressable system (adt).
Would it be possible to make the portacabin(Honeywell)an extra zone of the main system by use of a converter module or something similar?

Thanks

ADT's panels run a closed protocol which is directly compatible with nothing on the planet. My gut feeling is that without a lot of complexity and cost you're unlikely to get the panels to communicate. You could set up a v/f input channel driven by a relay on the Honeywell panel as a zone on the ADT panel though.

Thanks for this reply. We also have an ADT conventional fire alarm panel that we could tie the Honeywell panel into. I imagine that this would be a similar arrangement with v/f contacts?

Thanks again

If the adt panel has a fibre network card fitted I assume this is transmitting the mx network across the fibre and another non adt panel cannot be interfaced to this fibre network?

Thanks

Not 100% certain, but on the earlier Minerva series panels that was true: I don't imagine ADT's panels have become any easier to interface to using third-party hardware - their business model is still closed protocol to hold users hostage ensure customer loyalty.
