TV LED RIBBON CABLE TOO LONG

I am struggling to find a replacement cable for an LED TV. The cable which links the T-Con board to the screen.
My cable is 80mm long.
I can find a cable which is 100mm, (20mm longer than what I need).
My question is, if I buy this cable and put two 180° folds in it to create a joggle, to shorten it by 20mm, will that impact the cables operation?
The 100mm cable is shown below.

It depends on how crisp you make the fold. I would keep at least s 1/8th inch radius by using a 1/4 inch wood dowel to form around.
 
I'm pretty sure I can do a good job mechanically, but is there any possibility that the joggle can do anything to the signal, or the fact that the left and right screen halves, have different length cables?
 
I suppose if being different lengths is a problem one could get a second 100mm part and then they would be the same length again. The bend(s) should have no discernible effect.

It's unlikely that the excess length is going to be noticed. 20 mm of clock skew? From this: it appears to be 15cm/nanosecond; so you are looking at 2/15ths nanosecond => .13 nsecond. I doubt the LCD operates near that speed, but as I said, if there's a problem, replace them both.
 
The ostensible data rate for a 4K display running 120 Hz is 3840*2160*120Hz*24bits = 23Gbps

Now the actual data rate will likely be substantially slower

I'm with you until the 24 bits - that data is clocked in parallel with the pixel address. The clock rate doesn't change with the data width.

I think the mechanical question is can this be fit into the space available. I looked at a couple of replacement videos and there isn't a lot of extra space in some designs. Frustrating was seeing that the placement of the T-CON board seemed arbitrary - that is if equal length cables were used, the board had room to be relocated, but the raised bosses the board sits on would not allow it. Mechanically I could work out an adapter, but what a mess it would make.

 
Good idea. For the sake of $10 I simply try what you suggest as regards using 2 similar cables. I'm a dummy for not thinking that myself Thanks
