turn of the nut proceedure on a 1-1/2" stud

how are we to proceed with this torque method.These 4 studs per are retaining a 6" dia shaft

Another method you may want to consider, if the torque required on the nut is large, is stud tensioning. Really is a superior method to torquing a nut.

 
The problem with turn-of-the-nut is that the length of the bolt/stud changes the required rotation needed.
