It is an adaptation of the SKF OK coupling system. https://www.skf.com/us/products/power-transmission/couplings/ok-couplings A similar process is used to fit propellers on ships. https://youtu.be/jXUPLu0-mLc It's also possible they are tensioning the nut that retains the turbine.
