Hi,

could someone say to me how does the EN-13445 take into account tubesheet calculation, when client specifies differential pressure. In EN-13445 code I couldn't find anything regarding differential pressure on tubesheet, while in ASME DIV 1 is clearly stated that "if there is differential pressure calculation shall be based only on case 3"...Meaning if there is diff. press. zero pressure can't be occurred.

So, I need to know how to calculate tubessheet acc. EN13445 with differential pressure. Shall I use the same procedure as it is described in ASME? Only to take into account third case when both pressures acting simultaneously.

Thanks for the help in advance

Cheers.

Can you try using the PV Elite or you intend to do it all in manual calculation? Do you have access to a decent design software for pressure vessels, heat exchangers? Can you use it? The Annex J, clause J.7.2 can exlain to you the differential pressure design, but manual calculations will still be a bit hard.
Cheers,
