A few months ago in one of the forums there was a reference to (or review of?) on a foundation/temporary structures textbook and one of the chapters was authored by Eng-Tips member "PEInc".

I did a search to no avail - does any one recall the textbook title?

Thanks.

PEInc. is the author of the seventh chapter of "Temporary Structures in Construction, Third Edition". Here is one vendor:

and here, from PEInc.'s website is the table of contents and introduction for his chapter:

But I hear you haven't paid for a drink in any Foundation Engineering Bar in the country.

Drinks on me at Foundation Engineering Bar....just gimme the address!....or go to Pat's Pub and we'll do it there! Nice job PEinc.
SRE....you continue to amaze!

You are all a good bunch of folks at Eng-Tips...I would buy all of you a beer for the help and camaraderie I have received over the past 10+ years.

Thanks, again.

PEInc - I may have to mail you my copy when I make the purchase to get Chapter 7 autographed by you.

If you can't find the Foundation Engineering Bar, you might have to settle.

Ingenuity, autographs are free! Shipping is on you.
In my experience, you can't have enough good reference books.

No problems on the shipping.

I agree re ref texts. Back in the 90's I purchased a ref text entitled "Ground Control and Improvement" by Xanthakos, Abramson and Bruce, and a short time later were doing a complicated ground anchor project in karst limestone (massive voids, huge grout volumes etc) and so I called up Donald Bruce and then met up with him...and got his autograph too on the book.

I think Donald Bruce resides in your neck of the woods - in PA. You know him?
