Hello Community,

I am trying to make a gear combination as mentioned. I want to use a hypoid gear pinion(the reason to use hypoid gearset is to get an offset) as input and I do not want an offset at the output shaft. How can this be achieved.

Basically I am trying to make a differential gearbox but with a hypoid gear. I have attached an idea I want to achieve. Input hypoid gear with offset and output with a spiral bevel pinion with zero offset.

Is the idea feasible? Any other ways or ideas in which I can achieve an offset on the input pinion and no offset on the output kindly let me know.
I am looking forward to suggestions and design changes from the community. Thank you All!!!

Regards,
Raj Kiran.

A hypoid with zero offset is a spiral bevel, isn't it?

Yes, I guess.
So can I take a configuration as given in my trailing question (as shown in image)? Input hypoid pinion and output spiral pinion
