Dear Engineers,

How are you mate....
By the way, I have any issue that may be you have experience for closing this.

I have Gate valve WKM Power-R Seal, 12"#600.
the actual condition:
-Seat pocket still in good condition,
-seat heavy eroded and we have replace this parts,
-disc was exposed by light scratch and we have repair by hard facing.

actually, we have repair and replace all trim parts, but, when we test by high pressure seat test is leak only for one side.
We have checked, give modification to control the compression and replace for O-ring seat using EPDM capsul, but it still leak 3 cc/min, pressure drop 49psi/2min.

if you any experienced for this issue, please your recommendation for troubleshooting, mate...

Best Regards,
Rio

IMO, as for an critical isolation valve, this can be a good case for the valve Manufacturer to perform the repair and certify it for you.

Hi Rio,

Curious to know if there is an outcome. Was the repair performed by original valve manufacturer?

A gatevalve of this type will be free of leaks only if it is 100% free of scratches, damages and material faults.

Small residues left in the valve or on sealings after repairs will easily give leaks.

Other common faults after repair are wrong adjustment, wrong or skew mounting, slacks and skewness in upper bearings, and wrong use: for example too large tightening torque.

Not easy to point at one single cause or be sure there is only one fault.

Good luck!

Would be pleased to know final outcome!
