trouble importing solid in ansys

hi!


can anyone help me out with the problem listed below.


i designed a solid model in pro/e 2001 and converted it to IGES format (option selected- Solid). then when i try to import that model in ansys workbench8.0 it gives an error stating,


Plug-In Error: No valid bodies found.


is there any solution

If you have full or crack version of ANSYS, then in ProE we can create Ansys *.anf files.


In ProE select: Utilities (or Tools in Wildfire)> Auxiliary Aplications > Register. Now you must select file "protk.dat" in ansys directory (for example c:\Program Files\Ansys Inc\v71\ANSYS\ac4\data\pro\Intel\protk.dat). Then click Start. If no errors then you get in "Menu manager" new lines: ANSYS Geom,...


If you have correct geometry thenyou get in you directory *.anf file.


Now in ANSYS: File > Read Input from ... and find your *.anf file. This is the best way how you can import surfaces and solid models.
