Can anyone confirm if TSP is likely to have any negative effect on Ceramic?
The application is a ceramic plunger in a metering/dosing pump. Temps are ambient but pressures may be 10-20 Bar.

Corrosion compatability tables that I have seen do not include ceramic and I would expect it is OK but would appreciate confirmation.

thanks in advance

Need to know what type of ceramic it is, and what concentrations of TSP you are using. But I suspect your hunch is right - TSP solution would be basic, and might attack alumina, although at ambient temperatures even that would happen relatively slowly.
