Thankyou for your reply,
The steel shapes are created with MDT6 Power Pack. I have found another method for creating the angle cut I require and is as follows.
1. Change the Sketch Plane to be parallel with the suface you want to trim.
2. On this Sketch Plane draw a shape (square, rectangle, circle, etc..) that exceeds the amount of surface to trim.
3. Make the part to trim active in the browser.
4. Solve the shape as a profile, the profile will be added to the part to be trimmed.
5. Extrude the profile the amount needed to fully trim the steel by right clicking the profile in the browser and click on extrude. Make sure the the extrude command is set to Cut.
6. A extrusionblind_1 will be created under the part that can be edited later if needed.
I hope this helps anyone who is having the same problem.
