Hi

I need to know whether you can apply TRIM API 5 when my client requests that the trim of the valves class 300 and higher should be with 13% Cr stellite

Yes, you can apply Trim 5 inplace of 13% Cr Stellite (Trim 8). Trim 5 is for hard facing on body seat as well as wedge seat. Trim 8 is hard facing on body seat only. Trim 5 is superior to 13% Cr Stellite (Trim 8).

However the client has to agree to that change.
