I'm spec'ing flow measement device for a groundwater and LNAPL (petroluem)recovery system. The system includes the use of double-diaphragm pumps as the means to recover the fluids from wells. Groundwater will be drawn down to the suction inlets until slurping action draws air/oil/water. I suspect that it will be mostly air. Fluids from wells combine and will be discharged directly to a collection sump/vault where other discharges converge. Other than counting pump pulses via air pulse counters or cycle counters, can anyone suggest a means to accurately measure the liquid flow from this setup?
