Triax for Operation Deflection Shape

Looking for small triaxial accelerometers for ODS on small, complex, plastic assemblies.
5-250 Hz, 5 G maximum, 4 mm maximum any dimension.

I doubt you'll find a triax that small. The little Endevco uniaxials are that size, and when I was looking around for accelerometers to test 1/5 scale BIW models they were the best we could find. In the end I think we used the strobe more than anything else, and did a visual correlation back to the FEA model.

So, try Endevco as the best shot. Cheers

Just checked, Endevco model 23 is their smallest triax in the catalogue I have, but it is 5x6x8 mm

Yes Endevco claims that the Model 23,

is the worlds smallest tri-axial. I also note that the sensitivity is only 0.4 pc/g or 4 pC/m/s2. There is a tradeoff for size.

I have always found that the cabling for small triaxials is difficult. A small triaxial is good but keeping the 3 cables out of the way can pose some problems when you have a light structure. Single axis accelerometers will be smaller and could be easier to mount in the long run.
