What are the pros and cons of the use of a "trefoil" conductor arrangement in substation cable trench?

I believe you have basically two (2) impacts if you are referring to MV cables:

a) Shield voltages inductions.
b) Ampacities.

If you go to the Okonite cables web page , you will find specifics.
