I am translating a geometrically complicated part from Pro/e to SE V15 pro or 16 academic. In both versions I can not force the part to be solid. I get construction surfaces but can not use the cutout command. I did the same translation with another complicated part and was able to make it the base feature and could cut parts of it out. I've tried several combinations of the options and nothing has worked yet. I do not have access to Pro/e so I can not edit it there then translate to step. If there are any trick to making the construction surfaces whole please let me know.

Hi,

You can try increasing the stitching tolerance to repair automatically the gaps between your surfaces. My guess is that you will have to add some surfaces yourself (using the surfacing toolbar) to join all the surfaces together. After, you can use 'stitch surface' or 'make base feature' to create a solid.

This might be due to the translation used from Pro-E to SE. Some of the geometries did not translate and you are missing faces. This is why you don't get a solid.
