Hi!

Can anybody inform me of the required minimum clearance of a transformer (in this case, an oil immersed 1000kVA 13.8/0.415kV, indoor/outdoor type, ONAN) to the walls of the vault room? We will install this transformer and will construct a 4m x 3m vault room.

Thanks,
Arvin

I guess there are no exposed live parts in the transformer. In that case in ths part of world (India), we provide at least 750mm around the transformer for the purpose of ease of access. This is as per the recommendation of one of authorities (TAC).

that is correct skm, the bushings are enclosed inside a trafo box.

Would 500mm clearance suffice?

Thanks
Arvin
