I am having to do a project for a class and we have to calculate the average bending stress due to traffic lights on the mast arm. (Assuming that all have the same length, the lights are the same weight, etc...). I was wondering if anyone had any dimensions for mast arms on traffic signals that I could use. I would need the length of the arm, distance to the lights, weight of the lights, and the diameter of the arm (assuming the diameter doesn't change).

Thanks!

One set of values: 3 set of Lights (115#/each) at thirteen foot spacing on a forty foot arm. 10" diameter arm with 3/8" wall thickness at pole connection. End light 2' from end, 38' from pole, etc. Arm 40 lbs/ft, (tapers down in diameter and weight, but assume constant weight is conservative).
