Morning All!
I am going to be dealing with a fairly large building soon incorporating stone & lime walls approx .6m thick. The building has been exposed to the elements and while being renovated is having three new sound proofed beam & block floors added (floors were timber previously). Ground surveys are being done to assess bearing capacity and foundations.
My question is - are there any specialist companies in the UK that can perform an assessment / scan of the walls to confirm a bearing capacity? My concern is that simple regrouting of the wet mortar may not be sufficient if the rot and damp has degraded the mortar too far. Any advice is very much appreciated!
