Hey all,

I have 85 ShA TPU but I need to hardener it to 95 ShA. Is there anything to mix with the pellets before injecting the TPU?

Thank you for your time,

G

Yes

A harder grade of TPU, like something in the mid Shore "D" range

That's the only solution right? Mix with a harder grade and work with parameters according to higher hardness grade.

You could try adding some inorganic filler such as CaCO3, talc, mica.

Mixing various hardness grades that are otherwise similar is a fairly easy task. You should take care about the grades as there are a great variety of grades of PU, some with substantially different properties and chemistries.
