TOX Process

Hi everybody,
Does somebody know what is the TOX Process? I roughly believe that is some kind of bonding process that doesn't use fasteners or chemicals to bond, is like the same part to be bond is the one that intertwine with the other part with some kind of punching or whatever..

Am I on the right track?
Where can I find more info. about that?
How much can withstand the TOX joint?
What's the pros & cons of use TOX instead of rivets, screws & adhesives?

SPR (self piercing rivets) somehow sprung to mind.

It is a piercing process where a small cup section of sheet metal is deep drawn into the mating piece locking it in place.
It is used successfully on a number of our supply parts as a replacement for spot welding or projection welding.

I've found that Tox joints are no where near as strong as Tog-L-Loc joints. Also Tox's tooling is more expensive. I would go with Tog-L-Loc if you are joining sheet metal.
