i want to solve the tortion problem of step rod whose larg dia end is completely constrained, i have analysed the same problem in ANSYS but i have no idea how to solve the very problem in Pro-E.could any body help me?
 
It sounds like you want to do a stress analysis? Pro/E by itself cannot do this - you also need Pro/Mechanica. After the part is complete, you need to assign materials, apply connstraints,apply loads and then runthe analysis.
 
Use the TLAP (Total Load At Point) Load to apply torsion since solid elements do not have rotational DOF / moment loads:
